History of Aztec Colour Print
Originally set up in June 1991, Aztec Print were one of the first businesses in Houghton le Spring Enterprise centre, in a five square metre business unit, we quickly earned a excellent reputation for very high quality print and design. We are always ready to give free advice, whether you are starting out in business for the 1st time, or a national multi-site company considering a re-brand, we really are, small enough to care and big enough to cope.
The company enjoyed very fast growth and in 1997 formed a limited company, that is the current incarnation of Aztec Colour Print!
Through listening to our clients and exeeding their individual needs our excellent service allowed us to expand our staff base from 5 to 25.
After successful growth over the previous years we expanded by adding the latest Apple Mac technology to our graphic design department.
With our rapid expansion over the previous years we were able to expand our customer base by buying the artwork from the liquidated company Bailes Printers.
Knowing that we had the foundations of the company in place we purchased two new Heidleberg machines a 5 colour press and speedmaster.
After gaining an excellent reputation throughout the region we got the opportunity to purchase Pattisons Printers based in Newcastle to increase our sales team.
This year we have expanded our sales team again by taking over Ceddes print of Sedgefield and implementing a direct mail service to our customers
Many of our clients have been using our facilities for many years and as they grow, we grow with them. Our business is constantly evolving, as is the needs of our clients, hence the wide range of services we offer, from a Black and White business card, to full colour brochures, to large format posters, to direct mail. "A real one stop shop" apart from specialised Laminating, every operation is carried out on site, using the latest Applemac applications to the latest Heidleberg high speed sheet fed presses, to the fully equipped print finishing department.
